Brother Wayne Benge

(July 7, 1958-September 3, 2023)

We are deeply saddened to share with you the loss of one of our dear brothers in Christ and board member of ‘Unreached4K’, Brother Wayne Benge. He passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. He was a faithful follower of Jesus and gave much to make God’s name great in Bombo, Uganda as well as Vizhnitsa, Ukraine. Whenever he heard of a need, he would do his best to meet that need especially when it came to Brother Stanley and his son Victor. Victor needed funds to attend college so Wayne stepped up and paid for his tuition and even purchased a laptop for him that will be delivered in November. They were not just church planters in another country to him, they had become his family and even called him Uncle Wayne. He will surely be missed but we who are born again and follow the Lord Jesus Christ will indeed see him again in Heaven. Please pray for his bride, Sister Connie who is surrounded by her church family at New Hope Baptist Church.

Ministry Address Update

First, I want to THANK YOU ALL so much for supporting the work of ‘Unreached4K’ as we are seeking to reach the Nubians of Bombo, Uganda for Christ…as well as support ministries in Ukraine, India, and around the world. Over the past several months we have had a few pieces of mail get lost between our local post office and my lockable, theft-proof mailbox. We receive an email every day from ‘USPS Informed Delivery’ and some of it is just not arriving so we decided to purchase a PO Box. If you send donations to ‘Unreached4K,’ please send them to the new PO Box. Thank you again for your support!

Uganda Mission Update

Brother Stanley, our church planter in Uganda, brought in 2 teams of 12 disciples each, from previous churches he has planted in various parts of Uganda, and during the last 2 weeks of August, they went out to evangelize 2 new villages near Bombo: Naamwatulira and Ddegeya. The teams spent one week each going door to door sharing the Good News of Jesus as well as preaching and singing praise and worship songs in the village square. In Naamwatulira alone, 50 villagers gave their lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior and are now traveling to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Kibajjwe for Sunday worship and discipleship. Thanks to your support, we were able to assist many of these faithful disciples with traveling expenses as well as food for the 2 weeks that they were in Kibajjwe with Brother Stanley.…PTL

Since the water well at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Kibajjwe has an electric water pump to fill the plastic tank each day, the possibility of theft and vandalism is always a reality, so we sent funds to construct a brick house around the entire system. Water is so scarce in this area that people from 3 villages, between 300 and 400 people daily, are coming to get water every morning for drinking, cooking, and laundry. We are praying for churches to be planted in these neighboring villages and water wells dug so that we will be able to get fresh drinking water as well as the water of life. When speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well, Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” Jn. 4:13-14

We are so grateful for our old friends, Badiru (A Nubian and former Muslim) and Harriett, who have been so faithful in bringing many of their brothers and sisters in Christ from the Sambwe and Kakute villages to Cornerstone Baptist Church every Sunday where they are taught the word of God and worship their Lord and Savior. Badiru and Harriett have also been traveling to Kibajjwe each week to meet with Brother Stanley and his wife, Agnes, for intense discipleship so that they will one day be able to start their own church in the village of Kakute. Also, please pray for Harriett as she is recovering from Typhoid Fever and is now pregnant with their second child. Though life is not easy in Uganda, they are faithful in serving the Lord.

On July 16th, we had our first Sunday Worship service at Bembe Baptist Church (BBC) under a large white tent. The weather was nice and dry then but now it is the rainy season and it is extremely wet and muddy which makes meeting under a tent quite difficult. We are presently seeking to raise $5,500 for a permanent building that they can call ‘Bembe Baptist Church.’ We also received great news that ‘Fatuma,’ aka “Short Cut” (while we were there in July going door to door sharing the gospel, she kindly showed us a short cut back to the Bembe church), and her entire family gave their lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior and are now being discipled. Several weeks ago, we sent funds to purchase bibles for those attending BBC so they could begin to read God’s word on their own and then given the opportunity to ask questions they may have…and Fatuma had many, all of which were answered by Pastor Charles. The Lord is moving in this village and we are holding the rope for Brother Stanley and his team.

Thanks to your support, we have also assisted Bembe Baptist Church in obtaining a cordless PA system, not necessarily for their small gathering under the white tent, but that all of the neighbors will hear the music, sermons, and testimonies about Jesus. We were also able to purchase a bicycle for Pastor Charles to travel to Bombo to get supplies and Kibajjwe where he is meeting weekly with Brother Stanley for church leadership meetings.

Ukraine Mission Update

During the first week of July, Pastor Paul and Revival Baptist Church had their week long VBS with over 100 kids attending along with over 40 unbelieving parents who heard the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Since most of the people of Ukraine are Eastern Orthodox, they only know of the traditions of the church and very little about salvation and what it means to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior. After hearing the true gospel explained by Pastor Paul, many of the children and parents repented of their sins and placed their faith in Jesus, Praise the Lord. Also, during the summer months, July and August, he carries out 5 different week long ‘Kiddo Camps’ in and around the village Vizhnitsa, Ukraine with the help of several youth that he has discipled and trained. Over 1,200 children attended these ‘Kiddo Camps,’ along with many of their parents, and heard the gospel of Jesus Christ for the first time. During the last week of ‘Kiddo Camp’ in the village of Yablunitsya, which was the largest camp they have ever had, over 350 children attended along with over 200 parents who were given clothing, food, and most importantly, the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now that winter is coming, I’m sure Russia will try to destroy Ukraine’s power plants again so we are setting back funds to help them through the harsh winter to purchase warm clothing and food for the refugees and orphans as well as purchase diesel fuel for the generators at Revival Baptist Church as well as Pastor Paul’s home. Please continue to pray for ‘National’ Pastor Paul Dudka and his ministry in this war-torn country.

Upcoming Trips:

Since we are trusting our God for a church building for the Bembe Baptist congregation by the end of the year, we plan to visit them January 24 through February 5 to assist in this celebration as well as take supplies and help with outreach in neighboring villages. Brother Joe Nail and myself will be traveling to Ukraine in April 2024 to encourage Pastor Paul in his work to reach the refugees and orphans and plant churches among the forgotten villages of this country. In July 2024, we will again be going to Bombo, Uganda to follow up on new church plants in various villages surrounding Bombo.

Facebook Ad Mission Update

Twice each month, we send the ‘Jesus Film’ or some type of Gospel Recording to an unreached people group around the world through Facebook Ads. I recently read that ‘’more Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than the rest of the world combined – 14 every day, on average.’’ (source: opendoorsuk.org) So, what can we do to get the gospel to those living in this persecuted country? At Unreaced4K, we are using SOCIAL MEDIA to send the ‘Jesus Film’ to them as well as ‘Global Recordings’ that have stories from the bible in their language.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING THE MINISTRY IN UGANDA, UKRAINE, AND AROUND THE WORLD.
